United flies into Crescent City from San Francisco and Arcata/Eureka. United flies into North Bend from Portland and nonstop from San Francisco. The closest commercial flights come into North Bend (OTH) about an hour north of here, and Crescent City (CEC), about an hour and 15 minutes south, right below the California/Oregon boarder. There are a number of options to fly into this area, depending on how far you are willing to drive after you arrive. Probably the fastest way to get here from Portland, for example, is I-5 south to exit 161 Drain onto OR 38, drive along the Umpqua river (past the Dean Creek Elk Viewing area) to Reedsport, turn south on Hwy 101 and we're 1.5 hours away. We're about 4 1/2 - 5 hours from Portland, 8 hours from Seattle, Sacramento and San Francisco, 3 hours from Eugene, Medford and Grant's Pass. I-5 is the main north-south route up the Wilamette Valley in Oregon, and there are a number of good east-west routes here from the I-5. On Hwy 101, it is about 60 miles north of the Oregon/California border. Port Orford is in the middle of the south Oregon Coast, halfway between Bandon and Gold Beach.
